Nadia’s music video for her dark and inspiring new single, depicts a realistic and relatable perspective on mental health. The video shows Nadia alone at home coping with what the real and raw effects of anxiety look and feel like. As an advocate, she hopes her music can inspire people to embrace the conversation of mental health and be a reminder that they are not alone.
So many suffer from anxiety, it’s an issue even more present during these dark times. You tackle this head one with your new music video ‘Anxiety’, how personal is this for you?
I have lived with Anxiety throughout most of my life but have found ways to manage it so I can function. When it arrives it can be debilitating. I think before I began my healing journey with music, I lacked a great deal of self-awareness and didn’t even know I was an anxious person. Now that I have a better understanding of my brain and triggers I can better navigate my anxiety to not allow it to interfere or determine my decisions anymore. Writing this song and filming this video have helped immensely to process my emotions from a different perspective. Allowing myself to be vulnerable and transparent in this way has also helped open a channel for my family, friends and fans to express their own experiences with anxiety and mental health struggles. This channel or portal, if you will, has been an additional teacher/healer for me and I am so grateful to be reminded I’m not on this journey alone. I hope anyone encountering this video or song are reminded of this as well. CLICK HERE
