Where were you born and where are you now?
I was born in Bradford, UK. I’ve lived here my whole life and I’m still here!
Who are you as an artist and when did you get into making music?
I’m just obsessed with music and always have been since I was a kid. I was in loads of different bands growing up, mainly as a metal guitarist. I found my own inner sound with S&S when I was around 19 years old. It just felt right to be making this warped dark music, it was just ME. That’s why it came so naturally.
What is it about witchy dark sounds you love and why is it instilled so deep in you?
I’ve always been drawn to darker things my whole life. I loved horror movies growing up, and was always trying to obtain the darkest music I could find. There’s something special and mysterious about darker things. If something is haunted, I want to be there.
You’ve had some interesting past collaborations, tell us more:
I love collaborating with other artists because it creates something totally unique every time. One of my best friends and favorite artist to collaborate with is ‘Brothel’. We just work so well together musically and he’s like a brother. Check out our track “Glass Coffin”, that one is crazy. I’ve collaborated with some of my favorite bands over the years, including Crystal Castles. I worked with them on their last album ‘Amnesty’ and produced the last track “Their Kindness Is Charade”, if you look in the credits you’ll see my name, Jake Lee.
If you could manifest anything for your career what would that be:
I would 100% manifest movie soundtracks. I’ve always wanted to make music for movies, since the start. The closest I have got to that goal is working on the video game ‘RUINER’, which was amazing. My track “Sleep Paralysis” really blew up because of that game, it now has over 2.3 million streams on Spotify alone, it was the best thing to happen to my music career so far!

How bout something you’d like to share with us:
I’m currently working on a new album called “A Never Ending Descent”, you can hear 2 singles from it now – they are “Nowhere” and “Cybercrimes” and are available worldwide. A 3rd single “Eternal Rest” will be released very soon.
Where’s the 1st place you’d like to visit after the pandemic?
I want to come back to RUSSIA. I played there in March for Arcadia festival and it was the best time, just amazing. Moscow and Saint Petersburg are so beautiful. I can’t wait to come back.
What does Dark Beauty mean to you?
Dark beauty encapsulates everything that I try to convey with my music, so it means everything to me, it is my essence, and I strive to bring more of it with every release. Thank you for being on this journey with me.
