The new dark Electronica, Trip Hop, Goth Pop EP “Infatuation” by Tiffany Trezzo made its debut today. She comes in with a bang giving us songs: Content, Mind Games and Pretty Novocaine. Aka Miss Trezz, is a singer/songwriter born and raised in Chicago currently residing in Los Angeles. Miss Trezz attended the illustrious Chicago Academy of the Performing Arts and University of the Arts in Philadelphia, receiving her BFA as a classically trained singer in opera and jazz. After years of highly disciplined vocal education, the rebellious singer spent the next six years playing shows across the country in a heavy, melodic Nu metal band called Sirens in Vein.
Miss Trezz’s ability to freely express raw emotion and inner struggle has entranced listeners with deep, rhythmic bass lines, catchy hooks, and powerful, relatable lyrics with a goth pop vibe. The new EP entitled, “Infatuation,” is very reminiscent of Sneaker Pimps + Portishead. Produced by LA-based (and Chicago raised) Oscar Del Amor, the dark ambient electronica and trip hop beats are lyrically-driven. The music covers topics of addiction to toxic relationships, self induced mental torment. A highlight is the commentary on how social media has created an obsessive need to constantly create content to satisfy the ego and sense of identity.
With her vamp like goth aesthetic, one can’t help but feel seduced by Miss Trezz as you hear the pain and honesty in her voice. The dance along the dark melodies plus down-tempo, bass-driven beats has us hypnotized. She’s always enjoyed collaborating with like-minded producers and musicians seeking to find new projects everywhere she goes.
