Interview Meikee Magnetic
Where were you born and where do you live now?
I was born and raised in a small town called Shimizudani-mura, Kamishihoro-cho, Hato-gun, Hokkaido. At that time it was a small town of around 100 people, but now it is an abandoned village. Currently, I have residences in two locations, Tokyo and Osaka.
Congratulations on getting 2 million views on your music video. Did you expect it to get this much attention?
We figured we would make something fun and just put it out but it seemed to take on a life of its own after we released it. We are really excited and happy that its getting this much attention.
The video was filmed in two locations, Hollywood and Tokyo. How did you organize this creative team?
I think the team has members not by chance but by pure necessity. The director Daniel Merlot has always been encouraging and we always talk over food about various creative ideas and he’s a friend. We were always excited to talk about fun delusions, in this way, we have understood each other’s creative images and shared creative sensibilities. At that time, Daniel, who knew that I could sing /rap, told me that he wanted to do a comprehensive production, and this project started under his leadership. From there, the talk went on and the filming in Hollywood started with Daniel Merlot and Michael Laburt (88 Rising, MTV Japan), who is also a friend, and Makoto, the coordinator. It was exciting to see the ideas coming out on the screen capturing the ideas we shared for some time, and that the finished video would be beyond my imagination. I came back from Hollywood, and the production got bigger and we did some filming back in Tokyo and finished it.
We saw in the photo that you have the actual ticket reserved to go into space. Tell me more about it! I have always been interested in the universe:
A few years ago, I was to appear on a television program and traveled to Hachijo-jima with a private jet. I heard from the pilot at that time that space travel would begin and that the ticket would be released soon. So I was introduced to the agency planning to take passengers to space. The space ship is a balloon-shaped airship named Voyager. This airship slowly climbs for two hours, and you can stay at the bottom of space for two hours to slowly see the earth and get a taste from space over time. Hearing that it is safe I bought the ticket immediately. The ticket contains the first number issued for the first traveler. I have not decided on the day to go, but I am looking forward to going to space in a few years.
What does the white dragon mean and what is the vision you have for it?
The message that the white dragon has is “Success or great success”. This white dragon is a rising dragon, and the vision it shows always comes with a challenge. Usually that challenge is something to be conquered within ones self.
You are the CEO of a large Japanese company. Could you tell me more about that?
I am the CEO of Shibamura Group in Ginza Marukan (Ginza Japan Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine). This Ginza Marukan is a company that manufactures and sells health and diet food. Also I have a line of cosmetics and skincare. This Ginza Marukan is a company created by “Saito Hitoshi” who is also my boss.
What is your message to the world?
It is world peace. It is to be in a world where you can express your great love while being abundant, and you can always be in tune with your higher self. (The higher self is the spirit that can act on positive thinking at any time).
What are your future plans?
Right now we are working on my digital avatar which we are going to do some amazing things with. We are also making our next video this summer to be filmed in Thailand with Daniel and Michael so look for something way more outrageous!! Most importantly it’s about expressing an abundance of spirituality and a beautiful world to others. I am using my creative projects to deliver a great spiritual richness to many people.
What does Dark Beauty mean to you:
To me it means being able to get inspiration and light in those moments of darkness and come out with a heightened state of awareness.
