San Francisco born filmmaker Jonathan Castro has been dabbling in video production for over a decade. After spending his teenage years living in Dominican Republic and Panama, he returned to the US with a clear interest in video storytelling and cinematography. In the past seven years while working under the moniker “Jon Zombie”, he has generated over 45 million views worldwide. In his early days he began with making music videos for local Bay Area metal bands such as Defiler; later moving onto to the EDM bass-scene. His first million views came after the video release for the world renowned Wobbleland festival which at the time featured rising-star Skrillex. He was also involved in filming the first ever Las Vegas EDC festival in 2011. He was then recruited into the Las Vegas nightlife entertainment industry; shooting for several of the hottest nightclubs on the strip. Since 2013 he has transitioned into creative director roles for a variety of Silicon Valley fortune 500 companies. Eager to deliver emotive storytelling and connecting with new creative minds along the way. Castro plans to venture further into dark fashion films and narrative shorts films. Castro currently resides in San Francisco, California. www.jonzombie.com
