Tell us about Fangophilia:
Fangophilia is a custom-made accessories brand. I make body accessories by mold-making people’s body parts.
I think it’s wonderful that a dentist has artistic vision, you’ve created eye stimulating art that captures our imagination. Fangophilia is beautiful yet dark, Ying and Yang which I believe shows both sides of Taro Hanabusa. How would you describe yourself to our readers?
I’m a dentist that has had an admiration for body modification for a long time. My accessories are based on Dentist T Technology mixed with a unique kind of body modification. I think the ying side of my brand is body modification and yang side of my brand is dentistry.
Your Vampiric Fangs and Grillz will be huge among American Hip Hop artists! I see you love Bjork as well, what music artists have worn Fangophilia?
Lady Gaga bought my accessories recently at the store Dog Harajuku in Tokyo. Marilyn Manson, Skrillex and Brooke Candy also wear my work!
What’s next for Fangophilia, future projects?
This year I’ll travel to Hong Kong, Shanghai and Los Angeles to hold an exhibition as well as a mold-making event. I’d like to go to as many countries as possible and develop my brand all over the world.
Fangophilia you are an inspiration and you embody all that is Dark Beauty. What does Dark Beauty mean to you?
I like cold colors and the shine of fluorescent lamps more than the shine of incandescent lamps. I think Dark Beauty is represented by not only dark colors, I want to portray Dark Beauty with white color and cold colors.
