Interview Meikee Magnetic
Since we last did our interview what’s been going on in the life of Davey Suicide, share some highlights:
We’ve done many tours, got the rights to all our music back and put out Made From Fire which charted on Billboard. Being an independent artist, we’re happy with the direction, and the songwriting but there’s still a long way to go!
What were some behind the scenes highlights while making the new video?
We were all melting away in the Vegas heat for most of the “Torture Me” video. We started filming in a warehouse after midnight and shot until the sun rose because it had no air conditioning. The kill room scene was shot the next day in AC, which was a lot more pleasant. Plus Stefanie was a great addition to the video.
Are you excited about the upcoming tour and what can fans expect the see and hear?
We’re returning to the UK which is long overdue. We’ve never played Germany or Russia, so we’re not sure what to expect besides doing what we do on stage! I hear Orkus Magazine has been pushing us hard for a year, so we hear the hype is real but we’ll see for ourselves soon enough!
We have the Born to Raise Hell Tour that starts for us right when we get back to the US and then we have Rocklahoma and summer tours coming up which we can’t talk about just yet! This album cycle has been killer thus far and we’re already thinking about the next album/ep.
What does Dark Beauty mean to you now?
Finding the light in the darkest of situations.
